Project Description
Studley Reserve in Doncaster needed to stay open to the public during construction, with
topography and flood risk further complicating access.
Manningham City Council engaged APS Civil to construct a connecting footpath, concrete steps
with handrail, a culvert and an elevated FRP boardwalk through the reserve, linking sections
that had been difficult to navigate.
APS Civil delivered 370 lineal metres of footpath, 2m wide concrete steps with stainless steel
handrail, an 8m elevated boardwalk, and 900×600 culverts with endwalls. Landscaping, garden
preparation, tubestock planting and a water fountain were completed alongside. Access and
flood risk were managed through careful planning and equipment selection.
