Drainage
Stormwater and Drainage, Built Right the First Time
APS Drainage & Civil delivers stormwater, drainage and below-ground service works for councils across South East Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula. From routine pit and pipe
replacements through to GPT maintenance, culvert upgrades and drill-and-bore works in tight easements, our crews are led by licensed and registered plumbers and supported by our own fleet of plant.

Built to engineering, council and Australian Standards
Drainage networks are reaching end of life across Melbourne’s growth corridors, and changing weather patterns are putting more load on systems that were never designed for them. APS delivers to engineering designs, council specifications
and environmental management requirements, with the
experience to ensure every project performs as intended for decades.
Drainage led by licensed plumbers
Licensed and registered plumbers lead our drainage work, which is rare in civil contracting and one of the reasons our stormwater work, sewer connections and pit installations hold up over time. Our combi truck handles non-destructive digging and rapid response across council networks, so we can mobilise quickly without waiting on subcontractors or hire schedules.
Why APS for Drainage
Council-ready delivery
APS works almost exclusively with councils across South East Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, with annual supply agreements held across the region. We understand council processes, compliance requirements and reporting standards, and our crews are set up to meet them on every project.
Built to perform under storm load
Drainage infrastructure has to perform during peak storm events, not just under normal flow. Our crews work to council specifications, Australian Standards and Stormwater Victoria best practice, with quality controls on pipe placement, jointing and bedding that mean networks hold up decade after decade.
Safety built into everything we do
We invest heavily in safety programmes, training and
accreditations to protect our team, our clients and the public. Every drainage project runs under our integrated management system, with site-specific SWMS, traffic management plans and confined space procedures in place from day one.
Sustainable construction practices
We source recycled and environmentally
responsible materials where specifications allow, manage spoil and waste responsibly, and implement erosion and sediment control plans on every site. Melbourne Water Site Environmental Awareness Training is held across the team.
What We Do
Stormwater Drainage & Infrastructure
Design and construction of stormwater drainage systems including pipe installation, pit construction, headwalls, gross pollutant traps (GPTs) and outfall structures. We work across reinforced concrete, PVC and corrugated pipe systems to meet project-specific requirements, with erosion protection delivered alongside where required.
Culvert Works
Construction, replacement and upgrade of culverts including in-situ pours, precast installations, custom wingwalls and endwalls. Coordinated with our concrete and civil teams when culverts sit within road, bridge or open space scope.
Pit construction and GPT maintenance
New pit construction, pit upgrades, lintel replacements and GPT maintenance across council drainage networks. Our licensed plumbers lead this work, with combi truck support for cleaning, vacuum recovery and non-destructive digging in tight access points.
Drill and bore in tight easements
Drill and bore drainage works in tight easements where open excavation is not viable, including extensions through private property, tree-sensitive areas and across existing services. NDD (non-destructive digging) is used to expose live infrastructure safely.
