Project Overview
A footpath renewal and path connection for Manningham City Council at Schramm’s Cottage, Doncaster East, carried out alongside a carpark and asphalt upgrade and a new pedestrian handrail. The works tied the paths together into a connected, accessible route through the site while keeping the facility open to the public throughout.
Scope of Works
Footpath renewal and path connection
Carpark and asphalt upgrade
Pedestrian handrail
Challenges
Keeping the facility open and maintaining pedestrian access the whole way through the works. Staging the path, carpark and asphalt so visitors could keep moving safely around an active site, while holding the programme, was the main thing to manage on the ground.
Outcome
Safe, accessible pathways across the site for all user groups, with the renewed paths, upgraded carpark and new handrail tying the access together.
