Burgundy Reserve Footpath

Project Information

Location: Doncaster
Client: Manningham City Council
Service Category:Concrete
Duration: 3 weeks

Project Overview

A new footpath through Burgundy Reserve for Manningham City Council, built as a linking path between the surrounding residential areas. The works covered around 600 square metres of coloured concrete along with new furniture, carried out while the reserve stayed open to its regular user groups and the sporting field kept in use throughout.

Scope of Works:

Footpath construction, around 600 square metres of coloured concrete
Installation of furniture
Works staged to keep the reserve and sporting field in use

Challenges:

Keeping the works contained to the perimeter of the oval so the community could keep using the reserve and the sporting field throughout. Staging the path around active user groups, while still holding the three week programme, was the main thing to manage on site.

Outcome:

A well-finished addition to the reserve that links the surrounding residential areas, giving residents a proper connecting path between neighbourhoods.
