Project Description
Nobelius Heritage Park in Emerald is heritage-listed, which adds obligations around how the site
is treated and how it looks on completion. The park’s WSUD device had reached end of life and
needed a full reset, not incremental maintenance.
Cardinia Shire Council engaged APS Civil for the full renewal. The scope covered water diversion,
removal of unsuitable built-up spoil, installation of matching rock gabion baskets, concrete bases
where required, energy-dissipating rock installation, combo and NDD cleaning of existing drainage,
and reinstatement of garden beds with planting and mulching. Material selection and construction
approach were chosen to match the heritage park’s existing character on completion.
