Project Information
Description: Heidelberg-Warrandyte Road Footpath Construction
Location: Doncaster
Client: Manningham City Council
Duration: 4 weeks
Project Description
Site conditions along Heidelberg-Warrandyte Road in Doncaster East made standard
construction methods impractical. Narrow corridors and restricted machinery access meant
smaller equipment was used wherever larger plant couldn’t operate.
Manningham City Council engaged APS Civil to construct a connecting path along the route,
improving pedestrian and cycling connectivity. Works included full excavation, path preparation
and construction, with a pram crossing completed alongside.
Notably, APS Civil used a recycled polymer aggregate in the concrete mix, diverting plastic
waste from landfill. The project was completed within four weeks with regular stakeholder
communication
