Grange Road Stormwater Upgrade

Project Information

Description: Grange Road Stormwater Drainage Upgrade
Location: Frankston South
Client: Frankston City Council
Duration: 16 weeks

Project Description

This stormwater infrastructure upgrade ran across a live residential street, with active drainage
maintained for residents throughout the 16 week programme.

Frankston City Council engaged APS Civil for the upgrade. The works involved new pipe
infrastructure, upgraded pits and a retention overflow pit at the end of the court to manage
overland flow. The new system had to be built alongside and connected to the existing network
without interrupting active drainage.

APS Civil installed 340 lineal metres of 525mm concrete pipe, 110 lineal metres of 450mm
concrete pipe, and multiple road crossings in 300mm concrete pipe. Twenty-five new or
upgraded junction, side entry and grated pits were constructed, along with a large retention
overflow grated pit. All disturbed areas were reinstated on programme

  • 110lm 450mm concrete pipe installation
