Project Description
Road improvement programmes that combine drainage, earthworks, kerb reconstruction and
asphalt resheeting in a single contract require a contractor who can manage every component
without the delays that come from coordinating multiple subcontractors. On Ruffy Street, APS
Civil self-performed the full scope.
Manningham City Council engaged APS Civil for the works, which included infilling open
roadside drains, realigning and reconstructing kerb and channel, excavating to shape swales, pit
construction and a significant asphalt resheeting programme.
APS Civil delivered the works in five weeks: service locating and pot holing, drainage and pit
upgrades, earthworks and subgrade repairs, 440 lineal metres of kerb construction, pram
crossings, 3,500m2 of asphalt resheeting, and line marking and signage. One contract, one
team, one programme.
