Project Information
Description: Drainage Upgrade
Location: Croydon
Client: Maroondah City Council
Duration: 6 weeks
Project Description
Easement drainage projects carry a level of complexity that open road drainage doesn’t. This
Croydon project had several layers of it: drilling and open excavation in combination, existing
services to identify and work around, grade constraints to resolve, resident access to coordinate,
and tree-sensitive areas requiring non-destructive digging (NDD).
Maroondah City Council engaged APS Civil for the full easement drainage upgrade, with the
approach tailored to each section rather than a single method applied across the job.
APS Civil completed drilling works where required, open excavation where conditions allowed,
and pit and pipe construction along the easement. NDD was used in tree-sensitive areas to
protect root systems. All areas were reinstated on completion.
Scope of Works:
- Drilling works
- Open excavation
- Pit construction
- Easement pit and pipe works
- NDD in tree-sensitive areas
- Reinstatement
