Project Information
Location: Mount Martha
Client: Mornington Peninsula Shire Council
Service Category: Drainage & Civil Works
Duration: 11 weeks
Project Overview
A 2.4 kilometre trail upgrade for Mornington Peninsula Shire Council at The Briars, Mount Martha, linking through to the existing sanctuary. Alongside the trail works, the scope takes in a culvert upgrade to keep the path passable and the waterway managed, building an accessible, all-weather route through the reserve.
Scope of Works
- Trail upgrades over 2.4 kilometres, linking to the existing sanctuary
- Culvert upgrades
Challenges
Working in and around a live waterway, where managing water through the site is central to building the culvert and keeping the trail works on track. Holding the programme across both the trail and the drainage works, in a reserve that stays open to the community, is the main thing to coordinate on site.
Outcome
An accessible, all-weather trail that links through to the sanctuary, giving the community and user groups a reliable route through the reserve in any conditions.
