Project Overview
A new dog park for Knox City Council at Upper Ferntree Gully, built on a flood prone site that called for significant drainage works. The scope covered water supply and a drinking fountain, footpath and concrete crossing, fencing, shelter, furniture and signage, all set up to handle the site’s water and give residents a well-finished space for their dogs.
Scope of Works
Dog park construction
Water supply and drinking fountain
Footpath and concrete crossing
Fencing, shelter and furniture
Significant drainage for the flood prone site
Signage
Challenges
Building on a flood prone site through a stretch of very wet weather, where managing water on the ground was the main hurdle. The drainage works had to do the heavy lifting to keep the site usable, both during construction and once the park was open.
Outcome
Completed on time and on budget, with great feedback from residents and local community groups on the finished park.
