Project Description
Construction of a new path delivered as part of the Hastings Foreshore masterplan. The works open up easier access along the foreshore for walkers and the local community to enjoy, with seating set thoughtfully along the route to take in the views.
The path was built using a Geohex structural grid system topped with compacted granitic sand, providing a stable, durable surface that ties in with the natural feel of the foreshore. Three concrete slabs were poured to seat the supplied CSA Porto Curved benches, finishing the path with comfortable rest points at key spots along the way.

- Excavation Installation of Geohex structural grid
- Placement and compaction of 950m² granitic sand path

- Supply and install of CSA Porto Curved seats
Challenges:
Outcome:
A welcoming, well finished foreshore path that supports walking and quiet enjoyment of the area, with seating that fits naturally into the landscape and a hard wearing surface built to last.
