Duration: 8 weeks
Project Overview
City of Casey engaged APS Civil to build a new dog park at Essex Park Drive in Endeavour Hills. The park provides separate areas for confident and shy dogs, with a considered mix of materials used across the space. The works took in drainage, fencing, footpaths, landscaping, a shelter, a water fountain and planting, making for a well-equipped space for the local community and their dogs.
Scope of Works
- Footpaths
- Drainage
- Fencing
- Shelter and furniture
- Planting
Challenges
The park’s layout, with several separate areas across the one site, made staging the works the key challenge. Each area had its own materials and elements to bring together, which had to be sequenced carefully so the build moved cleanly from one section to the next. Weather through the build added to that, with conditions on the ground to manage alongside the staging.
Outcome
A well-finished dog park that gives the Endeavour Hills community a well-equipped space for their dogs, with separate areas for confident and shy dogs and a considered mix of materials throughout.
