Project Information
Description: WSUD Renewal
Location: Boronia
Client: Knox City Council
Duration: 4 weeks
Project Description
WSUD renewal at existing reserves often uncovers conditions the original design didn’t
anticipate. Cardiff Herbert Reserve was no exception, with bulk earthworks needed to correct
design scope before drainage renewal could begin.
Knox City Council engaged APS Civil for the full WSUD renewal, including earthworks, drainage,
pit construction, intricate rock work and fencing to Melbourne Water standards. Bank protection
and fencing for future landscaping were completed during reinstatement.
APS Civil completed site protection, bulk earthworks for design correction, mudstone retaining
wall construction, pit and drainage works, footpath construction, fencing, rock beaching and
erosion protection to Melbourne Water requirements, and jute matting for batter protection
within the four week programme.
