Project Overview
Cardinia Shire Council engaged APS Civil to renew and expand the BMX pump track at Bunyip, delivered as a design and construct project. The track was rebuilt and extended to suit a range of skill levels, from beginners through to more experienced riders, with drainage improvements, asphalt, a shelter and furniture added to round out the space for the local community.

Challenges
Shaping the track and its different stages involved a large volume of earthworks, which made up the bulk of the work on site. Weather added to that through the build, with wet conditions affecting the earthworks and calling for the schedule to be worked around to keep things moving.
Outcome
A great result for the Bunyip community, giving riders of all abilities a renewed track to ride and build their skills on, backed by the drainage and facilities to keep it in use.
