Project Description
Erosion on a high-volume arterial road needs to be addressed quickly and built to last. The
works at Boundary Road in Dromana stabilised a compromised section of road batters and
prevented further deterioration.
Mornington Peninsula Shire engaged APS Civil for drainage and erosion control. Works included
earthworks to remove unsuitable material, import and compaction of suitable fill, geofabric
installation beneath rock work areas, toe rock to protect the construction zone, and rock spall
placement over the geofabric.
Material selection and rock sizing matched the load requirements of the arterial road, with the
approach tailored to site conditions
